It was another busy month for Drive Research in March 2017. Our market research company in Syracuse, NY hired a new employee, was out and about in the Central New York community, and we started several new projects while wrapping up a few important ones. As a start-up firm, we embrace all of the activity that comes with meeting new clients, visiting with loyal clients, learning new things, and enjoying a few drinks with other local professionals in Central New York.

Welcoming Our New Research Analyst: Emily Palermo
First off, the big news! On March 13 we welcomed Emily Palermo to the Drive Research team as a Research Analyst. Emily is an integral part of our team, right from the onset. She is a graduate from Oswego State and brings 3 years of experience in the market research industry. Emily focuses on the development of market research projects and creates more raving fans of Drive Research. In her role, she also manages the company's social media accounts. Emily currently resides in Liverpool with her fiancé Ryan.

Drive Research Collects Feedback at the Home & Garden Show in Syracuse
Drive Research partnered with Advance Media New York to collect feedback from attendees at the Home & Garden Show in Syracuse, NY. The show ran from March 16 to March 19. The team was out at the show collecting data on tablets as attendees exited the show. The survey lasted only 2 to 3 minutes and included 15 questions. Drive Research delivered a report to the Home Builders and Remodelers of CNY which highlighted key takeaways and recommendations to improve the show in 2018.

Digital Marketing Bootcamp
On Thursday, March 23, Drive Research attended the Digital Marketing Bootcamp at the Holiday Inn Conference Center in Liverpool. The bootcamp managed by Advance Media New York included sessions from nationally renown experts on SEO, SEM, social media, content marketing, and Google Analytics. The day wrapped with a panel discussion to answer any final questions. Coffee was available all day which immediately made George a promoter (or "10" on the NPS likelihood to recommend scale).

CNYSME Social Hour
George and Emily attended the Central New York Sales and Marketing Executives (CNYSME) social hour on March 29. The event was hosted at Sitrus at the Sheraton near Syracuse University. The event hosted a number of different sales and marketing professionals from across Central New York. CNYSME does a great job bringing together locals to network.

LinkedIn Training from Sandler Training at Driver's Village
On Thursday, March 30, Drive Research attended a LinkedIn Training session presented by Sandler Training. This was hosted at Driver's Village. Sandler Training ran through different sales strategies and LinkedIn social selling strategies to be more effective online. Career Madness at Syracuse University
On the last Friday of the month, the Owner & President of Drive Research spoke at Syracuse University. The event was part of Career Madness in which marketing students were offered the opportunity to learn more about different career paths in marketing. The day was broken down into mini-sessions where speakers discussed a case study on Snickers. George offered advice and helped answer questions about careers, finding a job, and market research. The marketing panel also included speakers from other local companies.

New Project: Agilence Industry Studies
One of the new clients Drive Research welcomed in March was Agilence. Agilence is a data analytics software company out of New Jersey. Their focus is asset management and loss prevention for the retail and restaurant markets. The team will be working with our market research company in Syracuse, NY to conduct online surveys with industry decision-makers and customers in the near future.
Completed Project: Market Assessment Downtown Syracuse
Drive Research recently completed a project with VIP Structures in Syracuse NY. This was a downtown market assessment project which included 6 components of market research. These phases included demographic analysis, a competitive inventory of apartments, condos, and office space, pricing analysis, an online survey to residents of CNY, phone interviews to downtown stakeholders, and an online survey to B2B office space decision-makers.
